Introduction
The Dubai Bid Alliance (DBA) is a working group within the Dubai Convention Bureau, a division of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing. The DBA is a collaboration of Dubai stakeholders to create a community approach to international congress bids. This collaboration creates an environment in which the congress biding, planning and implementation process is efficient and effective for the customer.

Rationale
Large congress organizers are fully aware of the financial impact of their event on the local economy. As a result, not only do they expect great hospitality and professionalism from their host community, but they also expect attractive incentive packages.
Nowadays, associations, federations, corporations and other meeting professionals have more options. It is therefore essential that The Dubai Bid Alliance works to strengthen our position as a viable, affective congress destination.
The Alliance Objective
To create a congress bid package that is able to be applied to individual congress bids. The predetermined package will include an agreement between all stakeholder categories to offer incentives and applicable discounts to congress organizers. Creating an efficient and effective bid process and which results in more congress business for Dubai.
Key Target Accounts
The Alliance will be utilized in all large congress bids. The general profile of the event is:
- Minimum 1,500 delegates
- Minimum use of 750 hotel guest rooms on peak night
- International Association or Corporation Congress
DBA Bid Submittals Include:
- Pre-negotiated hotel terms and conditions (same terms for all hotels participating in block); currently there are over 20,000 hotel rooms in the program
- Emirates Airlines as your official air carrier
- Competitive rates from the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Center (DICEC)
- Booking incentives from the Dubai Convention Bureau
- Further incentives from Dubai based DMC and PCO partners
