DCB HOSTS RECORD NUMBER AT IRSMP

Dubai ‘s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing’s Dubai Convention Bureau (DCB) has successfully hosted the ICCA Middle East Research, Sales & Marketing Programme (IRSMP) in collaboration with International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA).

Dubai ‘s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing’s Dubai Convention Bureau (DCB) has successfully hosted the ICCA Middle East Research, Sales & Marketing Programme (IRSMP) in collaboration with International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA). The conference brought together people from GCC countries with a total of 79 delegates, the highest attendance in the history of this regional event. The programme took place from the 25-27th of August 2008.

IRSMP had some of the best and experienced guest speakers in the industry, such as Scott Campbell, Executive Director, Global Research and Intelligence Network, Australia, Rob Davidson, Senior Lecturer in Business Travel and Tourism, University of Westminster, United Kingdom and Ulrike Von Arnold, Deputy Director, Vienna Convention Bureau, Austria.

The objective of the conference was to exchange information and transfer knowledge and experience between colleagues for whom research, sales & marketing activities in the international meetings market form an indispensable part of their responsibilities. GCC stakeholders can expect to see more educational seminars like this in the future in Dubai.
