Dubai Convention Bureau invite industry leaders to Futures Forum

Dubai Convention Bureau hosted an Invitational Leadership Forum - The Future of Hotels and Events as well as Key Findings from the Convention 2020 Study on August 3rd  at the DTCM offices.  Key figures from the Dubai tourism industry were invited to a unique conversation about the future of hotels, conventions and events and how this outlook applies to our specific region.

In the highly interactive session, Rohit Talwar shared the latest findings from the 2020 study and facilitated a discussion on the implications for the conventions and business events sector in the region. Rohit is the project director for Convention 2020 and CEO of Fast Future Research.

 Key topics covered were: 

  • Traveler’s needs and behaviors
  • New hotel and airline concepts
  • Future strategy, marketing and business models
  • The needs and characteristics of meeting attendees
  • Portable technology and how it affects our industry (personal echo systems)
  • Social media and web-based consumer purchasing habits
  • Characteristics of future vacations

 Results of the forum’s discussion will be released within the Future Hotels Study put out by Fast Future Research in November 2010.
